short stack

So this a quick et of picture of my current desk reading "I wonder what it's like to be dyslexic" is a great way to discover what being a dyslexic is really like a most useful book indeed. Sam Barclay is it's maker.

Then the next is a gift for my office manager, I have always enjoyed Jim Collins work and this is a cheap grab in bookshop so sharing the knowledge and asking more of people,

"Meme Wars: The creative destruction of neoclassical economics"  Kalle Lasn and adjusters because sometimes you should read things you know very little about, and economics is one of those places for me, Don't know if it is good or bad just beginning it, Wouldn't even know if it is a good place to begin but you have to begin somewhere. and this is my place to begin.

Then top of the pile is a comic "Kings Watch" Don't know Jeff Parker, but Marc Laming is a dear and great friend, I support my friends but only buy there work if I like it a lot. I even have original pages hanging in my house, he makes people live on paper. Keep and eye out for his work it is worth seeing.  Oh great comics need two things great art and this comes out of great story and Jeff Parker does this well indeed, they are a great combination.

Enjoy your dyslexia because you can.

Still reading "The Strain" before bed, liking it a lot. This may be a step to far for some people but my toilet book is "Emperor Mollusc and the something or other?" by some bloke, by which you can gauge my level of interest, in it but it does pass the time!!

have a great day because you can

"Heart Shaped Box"finished reading it at breakfast this morning, a most enjoyable read. Liked it, sad it finished wanted more of the domestic life after everything! Which may say more about me than I would care to confess. Also it has been a very long time since a book other than the Bible grabbed and crushed my heart in a moment of hope. So today was a good breakfast, these were the heart crushing hope filled words, "Sometimes they would trade a kiss that tasted of cold juice and motor oil. They were his favourite kisses."

"Heart Shaped Box" if you are going to read it do track down the hard back edition it has really great end papers/

Now I am going to read "Horns" also on the recommendation of a good friend who draws graphic novels and comics and stuff Marc Laming (it is good to have people in your life whom you pay attention to and he is one of them for me) is his name look out for his work, I do,  he recommend "Locke & Key" I now have volume 2 & 3 waiting on the end of my desk, but no volume 1, ordered it but won't read these yet would ruin the beginning of the story and that would be bad.

Still I am enjoying my dyslexia it is rather use full and a delight to me. Have a great day as someone has to, It maybe your turn.

So I have started "The Philosophical Breakfast Club"and now know where the first use of the word scientist was! Just so you know it was between William Whenhall and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor in  debate, a moment that would be fun to see. I am enjoying it very much, thanks to my delightful wife for a great gift. Also today the very same delight wife, found part four of "Exile on the Planet of the Apes" both covers, as I am kind of geeky that way about Marc Laming's work, he did the insides, and they are great. I have some of his original art work hanging on my walls. He is so good I pay my own money for it!!

Also found a great bearded skull design around ZZ Top. Music I like a lot. Still reading Winston Churchill's "The Gathering Storm" Volume 1 of his six volume history of World War Two, There is so much I did not know about my own country and the setting and build up to that war. I found my bargain of the day a first edition of "Sole Survivor" by Dean Koontz in an Op Shop, a charity shop for those outside Australia.  Also I have included a picture of my most read book, The Bible this one is the English Standard Version. Which I like a lot, In a few moments I will go to bed and read "Embassytown" China Meiville I am get gently sucked in to another world, which is  I think the  best way for a world to creep up on you. Where I wonder is you favourite place to read to be transported away some where else? Dyslexia is a great thing, I like it. Enjoy your day.

If you have books they need some where to live, and thanks to a retweet by Marc Laming I am thinking how do I get these, make these. I maybe ready to move on from the ikea ones I have now. I do like them. I do have some quite wobbly ones I have had from  B&Q for a number years. I thinkI will replace with these ones or similar from Tokyo. This could all be William Gibson's fault and I don't mind!! The shop they are in is so cool, go and find them at www.dezeen.com/2012/07/26/tokyos-tokyo, Go wild enjoy these. remember enjoy you day, oh and dyslexia is cool.

I have had a great day spent it will some good friends who help me understand some things about me. I have commissioned a picture from a very talented artist Marc Laming I make sure that I pick up as much of his work as I can I do get him to draw up characters from some of my own stories. On the website a dyslexic tale you can get to it by the link. I have put Tuft ears the battle bear on it. He is a bear who fights a Tyrannosaurus Rex. I am post it a bit bit at a time as I write it.  In fact I'll stick the picture ink on here. I am so privileged to know so quite talented people who cause and help me to be better than I currently am. Marc does that for me.Thank you.  Others do this as well I tell you of them some other time.
